Hello Everyone,

I hope by this time that everyone has had an opportunity to get on the water and is having a good summer season so far. Good Luck to those who are competing this weekend at Minneapolis Sprints !!!

At yesterday’s Board Meeting, lots was discussed and those minutes will be uploaded once they are approved. However, here is a brief introduction to our new duo leading the operational side of MBC!

Bri Pischke, Interim Director
Bri takes over for Betsy as Interim Director of Programs in addition to her roles as Learn to Row Coordinator and Building, Landscaping, and Grounds Chair. Bri is supported by the board in this position and will be working with our coaching staff and members throughout the season. Expect an update from her in the next few days including regatta fees, Safesport updates, and other items.

Lynn Hodnett, Junior Team Coordinator
Lynn takes over for Joey O’Neill as Junior Team Coordinator. Lynn rowed for MBC throughout high school as a junior, was recruited and rowed for the U of MN in college, coached juniors at MBC under Miriam Baer, and currently rows for the Racing Team. She brings a wealth of rowing knowledge to this role and we are excited to hit the ground running with the juniors, junior coaching staff, and junior parents. Please look in the next couple days for updates via team app and email as we collect forms, issue regatta packets, and orient our new athletes and their families to summer rowing.

Junior parents- this update will include which access group you and your child need to be a part of (both parent and athlete should have a team app account), information for summer regattas (know that some gets finalized closer to the date), important forms that we will need returned back, dues structure changes (this was discussed and approved at the board meeting) and various other things. If you have additional questions or have any concerns that are not addressed in the update, please contact Lynn and Betsy in a group chat on Team App.

Both Bri and Lynn can be reached via team app through the chat function. Bri and Lynn will both be working closely with Betsy, the Vice President, in their roles. Please create a private chat with either Bri or Lynn and Betsy for now as we bring them into these roles. We appreciate everyone’s patience as we navigate this transition.
